What People Are Saying

In late May 2023, I had the opportunity to join my team to participate in Scrap2Home’s teambuilding & upcycling workshop.  Going into the event without knowing what to expect, I am thankful to have had the chance to not only make a small difference for the city and region I’ve known my entire life, but I gained a new perspective on how I can better interact with my leadership team while influencing and positively impacting those whom I lead.  Nick’s attention to detail and unique mix of activities kept the group active & engaged learning about ourselves, each other, and helped drive clear thinking around how we, as leaders, can build a positive team culture.

BD SOC team had a great time team building and table building at Scrap2Home today. Many thanks to Nick Francis and New Life Furniture Bank for collaborating and bringing us together. Most valuable training our team has ever done. So fun to be together, celebrate success, and support two amazing charitable enterprises. (Posted on LinkedIn)

Nick Francis is a high-energy, intuitive, and fun facilitator! He facilitated a staff team-building retreat, several ice-breaker sessions for Board retreats, and the ice-breaker session for a group of 40+ professionals gathered for a conference. He is a great listener and I felt confident that he understood what we wanted to accomplish in each situation. His classroom and coaching experience give him an excellent background for working with people to achieve the stated goals. Highly recommend!

Our Prospiant team recently had a build with Scrap2Home and Nick Francis and George Hausberger. In a four hour session our small team built several end tables that can immediately be used. We love the mission of upcycling material that would ultimately be wasted and further impacting our environment with fuller landfills. The experience of working together as a team and seeing tangible results at the end of our work was fulfilling. All of this came together and was made unique by Nick’s leadership and approach. His many years as an educator and coach shone through. We look forward to future engagement with our team and Scrap2Home.
